Hi Friends! God be with you.
I am excited to begin this journey with the Zion family. If you are new like me, come check us out. I don't know Moose Jaw well or Zion for that matter. So come explore with me who Zion is and who we are in this family of big loving hearts, deeply committed believers, and quirky characters.
I am preaching tomorrow before the Annual Meeting and I will be sharing why
I find the ministry here so inspiring. God is doing a good thing through our people and it is not hard to see for those who care to look. I believe strongly that this community has a great deal to teach our wider community, church and world.
For many United Church folks, I think we at times forget how blessed we are. Blessed to have a community that has the same values and beliefs that we have. Blessed to know we are not doing this work alone. Blessed to feel cared for whether we be lifetime members or new faces. So if asked, consider helping out where you can. You will feel more at home that way and we can get to know you better.
I can vouch for being a new face. I just landed here January 1st and find you folk incredibly welcoming. I will say more tomorrow, but I just wanted to say I love it here in Moose Jaw and Zion feels like home. Thank you for the Call. May God continue to bless you and yours as you have blessed others. And God willing, our ministry will be dynamic, inspiring, and attractive to those not here yet.
I hope I see you soon! A friend on the journey of discipleship,
Rev. Deborah
