Tragedy at Home

In the wake of the recent shooting tragedies in BC and Quebec, our hearts are heavy with grief. We stand united in sorrow and compassion for all those affected, while holding onto hope for healing and renewed safety. This violence is not what any of us want, and it has no place in our communities. We also want to be clear: the trans community is not at fault here, and scapegoating only deepens harm. Now is the time to come together—supporting one another with care, rejecting hate, and choosing compassion. We’re holding space for everyone impacted, and we remain committed to a safer, more peaceful future for all. I pray that we, in Canada, be our kinder gentler selves in future days.
